This office desk came about in the same way as most of our pieces of furniture – after searching unsuccessfully for the perfect desk. We wanted a piece that is modern and robust – a seamless convergence of refined design and exemplary woodworking –; apparent contradictions, but very well resolved in the Art Deco pieces of the 1920s-30s.

We conceived the desk as a set of three volumes – two drawer modules and a shelf module – covered by a rectangular top. The whole appears stable or unstable, symmetrical or asymmetrical, depending on the point of view. In the work area, the top has a rounded edge and the drawer handles are carved in solid wood.
